Hi There.

I am 17 years old,
But still have very pink bedroom, still not sure how we managed to get the carpet to match the walls and the wardrobes...
I'm an insomniac but i'm pretty sure I have the best dreams ever!
I'm addicted to my television, even if nothings on.
On the rare occasion I get bored of watching tv, i'll usually be on the computer or on 'Just Dance'. Pretty sure I can call myself an expert at it ;).
I love music and singing along to all my songs, its a shame I cant sing.
I've recently become addicted to painting my nails, but that's not weird at all...

Crescendo

Last Wednesday I bought Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick and I have already finished it!
It was just too good to put down. I have wanted to read this book for a while, ever since I read Hush, hush which is the first book in the series. It was so good, and not like other books i'd read. At a time where vampires are everywhere, a book about angels is a breath of fresh air. It's hard to describe what the story is about without giving too much away so i'm just going to recommend that you read them both. It will totally be worth your time :)

I quite like the designs of the covers. And I really liked the way the name of the author and the book was written on the side, once the cover was removed.

I think the first couple of chapters in Crescendo are bit slow and boring, and just less intense and mysterious than in Hush, hush. But once you get into the book it definitely improved. Because of the high quality of the first book I think this book had a lot to live up to but it did well. I didn't think it was going to be as good as Hush, hush but it is, and it is possibly even slightly better.
There better be another sequel. The cliffhanger at the end of this book was worse than the one at the end of the first!
Also, thank you to Chenna who introduced me to the books ;).

My Eventful Day at Lakeside

So, it was recently pointed out by a friend that I was a shopping addict. I didn’t even notice, but I’ve been shopping everyday this week and I’m planning to go either tomorrow or Friday. But, I’ve been shopping for a good cause. Clothes and doughnuts :).

Today I went to Lakeside with my family. It started like a pretty normal boring shopping trip. My mum convincing my dad he needs more shirts, a pointless trip to Robert Dyas and then to Waterstones.

But then, as soon as I walked into Waterstones, I saw it. Or should I say him? Alex Pettyfer. A book called I Am Number Four is being turned into a film with Alex Pettyfer cast as the main character so he was on the front of the book. There was a deal on so I also had the opportunity to get another book I’ve wanted for a while, Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick. Anyway, back to Alex. There were two versions of the cover, the original or the one with Alex. My brother said to get the original because it was ‘better’ but my dad preferred the other, and so did I, so that helped solve my problem. I cannot wait to read it! But this story gets better. As my mum was paying I was hanging round one of the aisles, cos I’m cool like that, and I saw they were giving away free book marks... With Alex Pettyfer on it! It matches the book. And I now own two things with his face on ;) :

We went to Game a while after. I was looking at the pre-owned PS2 games to see if I could find some my brother had broken and I found both! Well, my mum found both. I also got Spyro because I like Spyro and it was 3 for 2. Then in WHSmiths I bought some awesome wrapping paper. It was only 50p, probably because Christmas is 10 months away. Then in this American candy store they were selling Coca-Cola with Vanilla. I really miss it, but it was £1.55 for a can and that is just too much. I’ll just get it if and when I go to America myself. I walked past a men’s clothes store and the mannequins had these incredibly strange poses, their fists were clenched, it was so strange.

We had dinner and went to the pet store after to look at the redonkulously cute animals. Just as we were about to leave a fight started outside between about 10 guys. It was crazy! They were grabbing each others hoodies and one took his belt off and started using it as a whip! They started grabbing stools from the cafe next door and were using those to beat each other up. I was slightly scared for my life. Then one ran into the pet store to grab a weapon. What did he think he was going to get? A hamster... But it was okay; a tall man with a piercing kept him out. It was quite funny now that I think about it. By the time the fight was over and they had gone all that was left was a couple over turned stools and a mannequins hand in the middle of the floor. Sad really...

Tangled

I have finally seen Tangled! I absolutely love animation films like Kung Fu Panda, Howl's Moving Castle etc. So this film was just perfect. It was funny, cute and amazing.
Here are a few snap shots:

It is definitely a film worth seeing or buying on DVD. I want to see it again!
After the cinema a friend attacked me from nowhere. Ouch, my neck. But I bought myself a sausage role after to make me feel better. It kinda worked but it was so hot and crumbly!
I also bought a belt, because belts are cool. And some bracelets that match my necklace and earrings. I was on a role!
Now the next film I would like to see is I Am Number Four. Alex Pettyfer is in it ;).

School's Out

So it's half term at the moment, time for a break from school. Although, I really do have a lot of work to do. Especially psychology. I think my teacher for that subject was the only one who actually wanted us to spend our whole holiday doing work...
So far i've done part 3 of the revision booklet and two essays. Which is pretty good for me.
And I bought jumper, and it's so amazing, and just made for me (my name begins with R):
But buying it was so awkward. First of all, the boy running the changing rooms was so... awkward. He took my clothes, grabbed a number, then handed me back my clothes. The friend I was with was lead to her changing room! I didn't think I was going to get the jumper so I left it there but then changed my mind so had to go back to the awkward boy and ask for the jumper. To which he said 'thanks'. What was I suppose to say to that? 'Thanks' was going to be my line. I just mumbled 'your welcome'... Then the girl at the desk was giving me style tips. Now I can safely say I know how to wear a jumper :).
I think this is definitely one of those 'you had to be there' situations. It's a hard situation to describe anyway, but hopefully the awkwardness comes across to you.
Also, those heels I bought were perfect. Maybe slightly too big but nothing a pair of socks won't solve. My feet were killing me Friday night. I was just dancing too hard...
And the contacts worked well. I could see all of the food.

High Definition

Today has been a great day. I haven't had one of these in ages. So today, for me, has been ultra amazing!
So, I went to learn how to use contacts. And succeeded. After eventually getting the first contact in the next one was easier. Still couldn't stop my eye from freaking out though. Oh, but getting it out was hard! I really don't know how to explain how weird it felt poking my eye so much. I was told I couldn't damage my eye, but I don't trust that...
I wore the contacts leaving the opticians and it was so amazing. Everything was so clear! It was a totally different experience to wearing glasses. I don't know how or why, but it really was.
I wouldn't stop talking to my mum. Telling her how 'I can see every individual stone on each building'. With emphasis on every word. I was offering to read her signs that were, like, really far away but she could 'see them herself'. She just spoils all the fun! And then she started staring at me weird when I was describing the ground. There is so much detail everywhere! When we went to Waitrose I was finding everything, my mum didn't stand a chance of getting to them before me ;).
But when my dad got home she was just making fun of me, you can obviously tell she hasn't worn contacts before...

Also, my shoes came! 3-5 days my left butt cheek, they came in 2 days! They fit and I can kind of walk in them but the grip on them is terrible (definitely not an excuse for my falling over every step). I can't wait for Friday to show them off properly. And the contacts too!

Starry Eyed

Today I will possibly be getting contacts!
I say possibly because today i'm being taught how to put them in, which could be a complete disaster! Knowing me, it will be.
I once went to the opticians and saw a boy being taught how to put them in in the open. Everyone could see him! I hope I don't have to do it there. I do not want strangers watching me! I especially don't want strangers watching me while I fail to put contacts in while constantly poking me eyes and, inevitably, crying. That would be too embarrassing.
So good luck to me.
I can't wait to be able to see with out glasses!
Or I could just some jazzy invisible glasses, like these.

Gamarjobat

I was watching tv last week and literally saw the most amazing thing. Ever!
It was these two comedians, called Gamarjobat.
They were so funny, unbelievably funny.
Or maybe simple things please simple minds.
But hopefully you'll love it.
Click here to see it.
Enjoy.
